Last Dream, essentially a one-man single task with occasional help from drummer/engineer Leon Taheny, released its 1st full recording, Includes a Great House, in 2005 on the tiny Toronto-based cooperative label Membership Blocks. It had been implemented in 2006 by He Poos Clouds in the Tomlab label, which continued to get the inaugural Polaris Music Award in Pallett’s indigenous Canada. In 2008 Pallett announced that the 3rd Final Fantasy record, Heartland, will be the last beneath the FF name, and that subsequent information would keep the mark of 1 Owen Pallett. Heartland, another idea album, this time around coping with what Pallett details as “the start, middle and end of the romantic relationship. But it’s sung from the idea of watch of the thing of my affection”, premiered in January 2009.
