Ferdinando Bertoni

Bertoni was an Italian author of opera, with an intermittent dramatic function, incidental music, numerous motets plus some oratorios. While not Venetian he offered the courtroom for over 50 years and was regarded with the populace (and in his very own mind’s eyes) to become Venetian. Bertoni’s music was performed not merely prior to the Italian open public but also prior to the courts of Britain, Germany and France. His most significant opera was most likely “Orfeo ed Euridice” that was performed in Italy and Germany and carried out by Bertoni in London. Probably the most mentioned pupil of the prolific composer was Mayr.
