Felix Cavaliere

Biography

Felix Cavaliere was the organist and something of the business lead singers within the Little Rascals (afterwards the Rascals), an effective pop/rock band of the mid-’60s. Because the group’s demise, he provides pursued a single career. Cavaliere researched traditional piano as a kid and became a member of the Stereos in his hometown of Pelham, NY, before participating in Syracuse College or university, where he shaped the Escorts. Then moved to NEW YORK and got his professional begin as a back-up musician for Sandy Scott and afterwards Joey Dee & the Starliters. Various other future members from the Little Rascals had been also within the Starliters, as well as the group premiered with shows in the brand new York metropolitan region during 1965. These were agreed upon to Atlantic Information and began launching records by the finish of the entire year. From after that through 1969, the Rascals had been one of the primary groups in the united states, their hits like the Cavaliere-sung “Great Lovin’,” “Groovin’,” “A WOMAN AS IF YOU,” “A LOVELY Morning hours,” and “People Surely got to End up being Free,” because they progressed from blue-eyed spirit (a term coined to spell it out them) to psychedelic pop and jazz fusion. Their fortunes dropped thereafter, plus they disbanded in 1972. Cavaliere after that went solo and it has since released many single albums without complementing the group’s industrial appeal. He in addition has participated in oldies displays and Rascals reunions and created other performers. That situation transformed with the discharge from the affirming Nudge It Up a Notch, a task documented with Stax electric guitar tale Steve Cropper and monitored at Jon Tiven’s Hormone Studio room in Nashville, for the revitalized Stax Information imprint in 2008. Another cooperation between Cropper and Cavaliere, Midnight Flyer, made an appearance this year 2010.
