Not to end up being confused with other acts from the same name, the Miami-based avant-garde instrumental rock and roll trio Feathers, comprising users Eddie Alonso (previously of See Venus and Chroma), Matt Crum, and Eric Rasco, traveled to SOMA Electronic Music Studios in Chicago to record their debut EP, Absolute Noon, for Hometapes with John McEntire. The disk premiered in 2005, as well as the group announced it to become only the to begin a trio of EPs. The next, Synchromy, was released on Oct 17, 2006.
