Embracing a moody, introspective pop appear that’s savvy, tuneful, forceful, and sweetly melancholy all at one time, Faunts were produced in 2000 by Tim Batke and his brother Steven Batke, who hail from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. With Tim managing electric guitar, keyboards, and vocals while Steven added vocals and electric guitar, Faunts became a trio by adding percussionist Paul Arnusch. After Joel Hitchcock agreed upon on because the group’s key pad participant and Scott Gallant became their bassist, Faunts attempt to create a name for themselves on North Canada’s music picture, and steady membership work resulted in concert dates starting for Broken Public Scene, Perform Make Say Think that, and Superstars. After two well-received travels of Canada, Faunts struck a cope with the indie Friendly Fireplace label, as well as the group released their debut record, High Targets/Low Outcomes, in nov 2005. A five-song EP, M4, made an appearance in past due 2007, released just via digital download providers; the EP highlighted music intended to accompany some short films provided within a multimedia task.
