Following the dark, Minneapolis-based dream pop duo To Destroy a Petty Bourgeoisie disbanded when vocalist Jehna Wilhelm relocated to Seattle to keep her studies, producer Mark McGee began collaborating with several other local tasks, like the improvisational group Votel (formerly H.U.N.X.) and Cannabis Deathsquads. Initially seeking to continue To Destroy a Petty Bourgeoisie having a different vocalist, McGee linked to vocalist/songwriter Nicole “Mona” Tollefson, who was simply focusing on her personal materials which she experienced delivered to a shared friend.
