Galway-born concertina player Charlie Coen joined up with with younger sibling Jack port to record an important album of traditional Irish melodies, The Branch Line, in 1976. Playing the tin whistle from age eight, Coen received seven All-Ireland honours, including medals in concertina, flute and whistle playing, and performing in the British and Irish dialects. A citizen of america since 1954, Coen joined the priesthood in 1968.
