Fat Mike

Biography

Best known because the frontman of NOFX, Body fat Mike is really a snarky — albeit extremely funny and talented — punk rock and roll musician. Created Mike Burkett in 1967, the Southern Californian started his musical profession in senior high school with the music group False Security alarm. In 1983, he created NOFX with Eric Melvin and Erik Sandin. Relentless and D.We.Y. within the strictest feeling, NOFX became a global sensation, ultimately resulting in Mike beginning the privately operate Body fat Wreck Chords label. The music group and label thrived, without signs of preventing, well in to the second 10 years from the 2000s. Together with performing and documenting in NOFX, Mike also performed bass within the all-star punk cover group Me First as well as the Gimme Gimmes and produced headlines showing up on-stage and provoking viewers in personality as Cokie the Clown, a downtrodden clown with serious issues — minimal of which becoming his medication dependency problem. In addition to juggling his multiple tasks, in 2012 he obtained the ragtime soundtrack to Plastic Bordello, a pornographic period piece occur the first 1900s.
