Fat City

Body fat Town formed in Washington, DC, USA, and contained in their line-up the husband-and-wife group, Costs Danoff (b. 7 Might 1946, Springfield, Massachusetts, USA; electric guitar/vocals) and Taffy Danoff (b. Kathleen Nivert, 25 Oct 1944, Washington, DC, USA; vocals), plus Jim Parker (electric guitar/vocals). Using their cheerful, summery vocals they released two albums, enlisting as visitor musicians such significant performers as Bob Adam, Eric Weissberg, Artie Traum and Hubert Laws and regulations. After failing woefully to obtain the predicted achievement, Fat Town’s supreme demise resulted in the Danoffs developing a duo as Costs And Taffy which, subsequently, resulted in the Starland Vocal Music group and national popularity. Following the demise of Starland, the duo resurrected Body fat Town and, despite their marital divide, these were still found performing jointly in the Washington, DC region during later years.
