Farzin

Exclusive and risk-taking, Farzin Farhadi is certainly a soprano and alto saxophonist/composer whose melodic jazz-pop continues to be influenced by Wayne Shorter, John Coltrane and Jan Garbarek aswell as traditional Persian and Middle Eastern music. The lush, gentle character of Farzin’s music gained the saxman (who merely goes on his initial name) some airplay on brand-new adult contemporary channels from the 1990s, yet his Aladdin produces In a A LONG WAY AWAY Property and My Globe are too significant and improvisatory to be looked at elevator music. Farzin, who’s of Persian/Iranian descent, was raised in Washington D.C. and examined on the Berklee University of Music in Boston before shifting to LA in the first 1990s. In L.A., Farzin agreed upon using the Persian-oriented Aladdin label, which released Within a Far Away Property in 1995 and My Globe in 1997.
