The venerable CCM group Farrell & Farrell was fronted by couple Bob and Jayne Farrell, who together emerged through the Houston, Texas music scene through the early 1970s. In 1974 Bob became a member of the group Dove, among the first functions authorized to the fledgling Myrrh label; in those days Jayne pursued a single career, however when Bob remaining Dove in 1976 they started working together beneath the name Farrell & Farrell. Their self-titled debut LP, released in 1978, instantly topped the CHR graphs on the effectiveness of its advanced techno-pop audio — Farrell & Farrell had been one of the primary functions in either secular or religious music to hire a Fairlight synthesizer.
