The “identical twin” of cowpunk pioneer Jason Ringenberg, Farmer Jason started being a side project Ringerberg did for his daughters, but finished up being more commercially successful than other activities he did. In 2003 he released A Trip to the Plantation with Farmer Jason, tracks about his Tennessee plantation and pets, on Yep Roc, and 3 years afterwards Rockin’ within the Forest with Farmer Jason arrived.
