Farmer Dave Scher

Farmer Dave Scher has lent his pedal metal prowess to several big name serves, including (but not at all limited by) Elvis Costello, Jenny Lewis, Vetiver, and Interpol. In the past due 1990s, he was a primary person in the California-based indie pop group Beachwood Sparks, and he co-founded the short-lived duo FOREVER Radio with fellow Beachwood Sparks member Jimi Hey in 2002. Scher released his first single album, Flash Forwards to the nice Times, over the Brooklyn, NY-based label Kimado Information in the summertime of 2009. A tongue-in-cheek affair that melded gentle rock, album rock and roll, and indie pop sensibilities (quite simply, sounding something similar to a combination between Joe Walsh and Beachwood Sparks), the record featured guest performances by manufacturer Thom Monahan (whose prior credits included function for Devendra Banhart) and associates of Entry and VietNam.
