Fantasy

The British band Fantasy released two albums in the first ’70s of predominantly pastoral progressive rock. Originally known as FireQueen, the group was made up of Paul Lawrence (vocals, electric guitar), David Metcalfe (keyboards), and Dave Browse (bass). Their initial album was Color an image (1973), a mellow and imaginative assortment of song-based materials that featured much usage of acoustic guitars, Hammond organs, and pianos. In 1974, the music group documented Beyond the Beyond, that was not really released until 1992. The recording noticed the group growing their sound into even more quintessential progressive materials while remaining accurate to the pastoral sound of their debut.
