Famoro Kouyate

b. c.1940, Guinea. Kouyate was the bass participant for Balla Et Ses Balladins through the 60s. In 1967 he was among several musicians who remaining the Balladins to be able to function in the Guinean music group of Miriam Makeba, with whom he toured across the world. He remaining her music group in 1978 and 2 yrs later on rejoined the Balladins, sticking to them until their 1984 break up (due to removing authorities subsidy). In 1990 he created Kike (meaning ‘the Moon’), an organization which featured users of Kouyate’s considerable family members playing traditional devices, including balafons, djembes and peulh flute, alongside his personal electrical bass and a duo of woman performers. Assusu was documented over three times in the Futura Nightclub in the Resort de L’Unite in Conakry, Guinea.
