False Prophets

Created in 1980, the False Prophets had been a fresh York centered punk act which were peers of additional second-wave punk rings like the Undead, Reagan Youth, and Bad Brains. The initial lineup — vocalist Stephan Ielpi, guitarist Peter Campbell, bassist Steve Wishinia, and drummer Matt Superty — first produced a name for themselves at famous place Max’s Kansas Town and playing past due sets on the A7 Membership. They released two singles, “Blind Compliance” and “Great Clean Fun,” before putting your signature on with Choice Tentacles, who discharge their debut full-length, Fake Prophets, in 1986. After many drummer adjustments (which would consist of previous Undead drummer, the past due Patrick Empty) the music group released their follow-up, Implosion, in 1987. The music group split up on tour quickly thereafter, but was re-formed by Stephan Ielpi and guitarist Debra DeSalvo. The brand new configuration would continue steadily to for several years, releasing just one single EP for the reason that time.
