Originally planned like a solo project for vocalist/guitarist Chris Farren, Fake Problems certainly are a four-piece band hailing from your Southern coastal vacation town of Naples, FL. Occupying the area between alt-country, folk, and indie pop with an extra dosage of punk D.We.Con. appeal, Farren eventually met up with some high-school buddies — bassist/vocalist Derek Perry, guitarist Casey Lee, and drummer Sean Stevenson — to visit at it as a complete band. The people performed around locally, burning up their personal CDs and testing their own t shirts, eventually booking trips beyond their hometown. Fake Complications first recorded their sound within the 2005 recording Viewing the Bull Obtain the Matador, though it experienced some digital undertones instead of simply the twangy country-folk-rock (that could evoke pictures of early Against Me! alongside Whiskeytown) that later on releases would display additional. The enthusiastic quartet toured around with O Pioneers!!! during 2006, as the Spurs & Spokes 7″ showed up via Sabot Productions that August. Sabot after that released the roundup EP Spurs & Spokes | Bull > Matador that fall; the discharge compiled their summer season EP with four re-recorded monitors from Fake Complications’ after that out of printing debut. The music group continued touring round the southeast U.S. and readied its following recording, How Far OUR ANATOMIES Go, with maker Rob McGregor (WARM WATER Music, Against Me!).
