Fabio Orsi

Fabio Orsi can be an Italian electronica maker with an ambient design that pulls from field recordings, atmospheric drones, and live instrumentation. Created in Carosino, Taranto, Italy, he cites the field recordings of American folklorist Alan Lomax like a main influence. Orsi produced his full-length single recording debut with Osci (2005) on the tiny Voices label. In 2007 he released his second full-length, Discover Electronica, within the A Silent Place label and collaborated with veteran Italian electro-acoustic composer Gianluca Becuzzi on the trio of albums, Muddy Speaking Spirits Through My Devices, The Stones Find out Everything, and Crazy Flowers Beneath the Couch. Successive full-length collaborations with Becuzzi are the albums Sound Postcards (2008) therefore Much (2009). Orsi collaborated with many others aswell, especially Italian saxophonist Valerio Cosi within the albums WE’RE ABLE TO all night (2008) and Thoughts Melt in the Air flow (2009).
