EZTV

Motivated by hazy, jangly power pop works such as for example Cleaners from Venus, Emitt Rhodes, and Boots or shoes, Brooklyn’s EZTV started as the task of vocalist/guitarist/audio engineer Ezra Tenenbaum. To flesh out demos he’d crafted on his eight-track recorder, Tenenbaum recruited bassist Shane O’Connell and previous Widowspeak drummer Michael Stasiak. The trio documented its debut record with Woods’ Jarvis Taveniere as manufacturer, with the Apr 2015 release from the 7″ Dirt in the Sky heralding the entrance of Contacting Out that July. For 2016’s even more polished Saturated in Place, EZTV opted to record and make the record themselves, and asked guests including Jenny Lewis, Chris Cohen, Quilt’s John Andrews, and True Estate’s Martin Courtney and Matt Kallman.
