Eyedress

Eyedress was the nom de plume of Filipino Idris Vicuña, initially better referred to as the bassist of Manila psychedelic indie/sound pop music group Bee Eyes. Blessed in Quezon Town, Metro Manila in 1990, Vicuña relocated along with his family members to america at age five and grew up in Az before shifting to California at age 13, where he uncovered music, playing bass within a Crass-influenced crust punk music group. In 2005, Vicuña transferred back again to Manila where, along with his friend and fellow film pupil Julius Valledor, he produced Bee Eye. The music group was called for the mom of 1 of their close friends, who accused them to be “B.We.’s” (a Filipino colloquialism for “bad affects”) on her behalf son. Bee Eye released several EPs, that they produced their very own music movies, and became minimal internet superstars after a cease-and-desist purchase from Sub Pop, whose logo design that they had copied for just one of their t-shirts.
