The duo Eye To Eye shaped in 1979 following keyboardist Julian Marshall (formerly of Marshall-Hain) noticed dancer/singer Deborah Berg sing at an improvisational dance performance in NORTH PARK. Weeks afterwards, Berg flew to London, where she and Marshall started writing jointly at his house. They quickly garnered an archive deal with Auto Information in the U.K., launching the one “Am I Regular.” In 1982, Eyes To Eyes released their self-titled debut record on Warner Bros. Information. Their debut, offering the very best 40 strike “Nice Woman” as well as the follow-up launch Shakespeare Stole My Baby, was made by Gary Katz, known mainly for creating Steely Dan’s albums.
