An obscure mid-1960s Denmark-based band, the Exploding Mushroom included members from the united kingdom, US, and Denmark. One of the most renowned of these was bassist Macintosh MacLeod, who used Donovan sometimes in the 1960s, and produced various other obscure recordings, both single and within psychedelic rings. The Exploding Mushroom released one rare one, “There SHOULD COME per day”/”SURRENDER EVERYTHING YOU Stole (From Me),” that blended Bob Dylanesque folk-rock with embryonic body organ psychedelia affects. Both sides from the one were reissued within the Mac pc MacLeod retrospective The Amazing Musical Odyssey of the initial Hurdy Gurdy Guy.
