Exmagma was a briefly lived hippy oriented Krautrock trio using a jazzy space rock and roll sound. However the band’s discography provides yet to become reissued on Compact disc, these are certainly worth such treatment. Exmagma was produced in Stuutgart, Germany, by Andy Goldner (guitars, bass, sax, vocals), Thomas Balluff (keyboards, trumpet, flute, vocals), and jazz drummer Fred Braceful, previously of ETC. The group released an eponymous debut record in 1973 inspired by Jimi Hendrix, Soft Machine, and Mls Davis featuring short but complex parts. The similarly eccentric Goldball implemented in 1974.
