Music group. New Orleans group founded by Theogene Baquet in 1880, after that by George Moret and Pete Bocage. It mixed in proportions from 10 to 12 parts, and was among the first New Orleans brass rings. It performed both written ratings and head agreements of marches, dance music, dirges and hymns. A number of the city’s most significant traditional musicians, included in this Alphonse Picou, Willie Humphrey, Luis Tio and Honore Dutrey performed for the group during its tenure. It disbanded in 1931.
