An effective vocalist in the Jovem Guarda in the Trio Esperança, Evinha had hits in her solo profession with tunes like “Teletema” (Antônio Adolfo/Tibério Gaspar), “Que Bandeira” (Marcos Valle/Paulo Sérgio Valle), “Como Vai Você” (Antônio Marcos), and “As Mayções Que Você Fez Em virtude de Mim” (Roberto Carlos/Erasmo Carlos). Since her child years, she sang as well as siblings Mário Correia José Maria and Regina Correia José Maria. In 1958 the three of these created the Trio Esperança, which experienced great success through the Jovem Guarda occasions and continues to be energetic.
