An effective vocalist in the Jovem Guarda in the Trio Esperança, Evinha had hits in her solo profession with tunes like “Teletema” (Antônio Adolfo/Tibério Gaspar), “Que Bandeira” (Marcos Valle/Paulo Sérgio Valle), “Como Vai Você” (Antônio Marcos), and “As Mayções Que Você Fez Em virtude de Mim” (Roberto Carlos/Erasmo Carlos). Since her child years, she sang as well as siblings Mário Correia José Maria and Regina Correia José Maria.
