L.A.-structured Evildead was the thrash metallic band founded by previous Agent Steel guitarist Juan Garcia, subsequent that group’s obvious breakup in 1987. Together with vocalist Phil Flores, guitarist Albert Gonzalez, bassist Mel Sanchez (previously his bandmate with Abattoir), and drummer Rob Alaniz, he agreed upon with Germany’s Steamhammer label, and by the close of 1989 that they had released both an EP (entitled GO ABOVE) and a complete record (optimistically called Annihilation of Civilization) of especially brutal thrash steel. Very few consumers took see, however, therefore after taking share of their potential clients, Flores and Garcia retooled Evildead’s lineup with brand-new associates Dan Flores (electric guitar), Karlos Medina (bass, and another Agent Metal alum), and drummer Doug Clawson ahead of documenting 1991’s The Underworld. However, it too didn’t impress industry — despite flirting using the day’s even more current death steel design — and, after providing your final live record with the next year’s In the Depths from the Underworld, Evildead silently shut down store.
