Everybody Was in the French Resistance…Now!

Eddie Argos and Dyan Valdés comprise Everybody Is at the French Level of resistance…Right now!, a side-project lark that’s just as silly mainly because it is name suggests. The genesis of the group arrived when Argos (the frontman of English punky-pop yuksters Artwork Brut) and his sweetheart Valdés (who takes on piano and sings with L.A. indie rockers the Bloodstream Arm) were on the road trip collectively and Argos described his frustrations using the idea of Martha Reeves & the Vandellas’ “Jimmy Mack.” The set decided that they must be the types to revise the song’s “errors” using their personal response, and the idea took off following that, with “corrections” to famous brands Avril Lavigne, Bob Dylan, Kanye Western, and Frank Sinatra. Acquiring their name from a preferred phrase of 1 of Valdés’ UCLA professors, EWITFRN published their debut recording in just a matter of weeks and documented it at Joshua Tree –? an take action they dedicated as an “response” to U2, who had been simply photographed there. Fixin’ the Graphs, Vol. 1 premiered on Cooking Vinyl fabric in Feb 2010.
