Biography
An psychological R&B-oriented saxophonist, Everette Harp graduated from North Texas Condition University and played locally in Houston during 1981-1988, learning to be a studio room musician. In 1988, he shifted to LA and was quickly playing in main R&B rings (including those of Anita Baker, Sheena Easton, and Kenny Loggins). In 1991, Harp toured with George Duke and Marcus Miller, and documented his debut for Manhattan. In 1992, he toured with Rachelle Ferrell, and 2 yrs later on his second recording (for Blue Notice Contemporary) premiered; the Marvin Gaye tribute WHAT’S HAPPENING, his contribution towards the Blue Notice Cover Series, adopted in 1997, trailed a yr later on by Better Times.
