British singer Evelyn Tubb studied on the Guildhall College of Music in London. She afterwards joined up with the Consort of Musicke with which she’s made a large number of recordings and made an appearance in several tv presentations. She actually is also a regular collaborator with guitarist and lutenist Michael Areas. Tubb offers performed oratorio, opera, and music-theater repertoire that works the gamut from Hildegard von Bingen to Peter Maxwell Davies. She produced the title part in John Eccles’ Semele (1707) for the Mayfield Chamber Opera. She’s taught world-wide, including in the Scola Cantorum Basiliensis as well as the Dartington International Summer season College.
