Biography
Vocalist and cabaret designer Evelyn Ruler (whose true name was Evelyn Künneke) was created on Dec 15, 1921, in Berlin, Germany. The child of the operetta composer (Eduard Künneke) and opera vocalist (Katarina Krapotkin), Ruler began her profession like a dancer at Berlin’s Condition Opera in the past due ’30s. In 1939, Nazis prohibited her from carrying out under her stage name of Evelyn Ruler, so she started working in films and documenting pop tunes, as she performed frequently within the wartime armed service entertainment circuit, rating her best-known music in 1941 with “Sing Nightingale Sing.” In the first ’60s, King done films and tv in Hollywood, time for Berlin in the past due ’70s and showing up on-stage in little productions and range shows almost till her loss of life at age 79 on Apr 28, 2001.
