A collaboration between your Dresden Dolls’ Amanda Palmer and experimental musician Jason Webley, Evelyn Evelyn revolves around the idea of conjoined twin sisters Eva and Lyn Neville, who play cabaret-inspired music with fittingly close harmonies. Palmer and Webley created the task in 2007, stating they “found out” the Neville sisters via MySpace communications from the set, who were created Parapagus Tripus Dibrachius twins and distributed three hip and legs, two hands, two hearts, three lungs and a liver organ. They appeared inside a touring circus from age group 11 to 19, but Webley and Palmer rescued them and helped them record an recording. The EP Elephant Elephant made an appearance in 2007 and was a restricted edition of just one 1,111 copies released via Webley’s 11 Information imprint. Tegan and Sara and Frances Bean Cobain had been among the performers who also made an appearance on Evelyn Evelyn’s self-titled debut, which found its way to 2010; a visual book illustrated by Cynthia von Buhler and released by Dark Equine Press was also prepared for that yr.
