Evangelista is 1 in an evergrowing series of music tasks founded upon the skills of vocalist, composer, and instrumentalist Carla Bozulich. Following a dissolution of Scarnella, her short-lived duo with guitarist Nels Cline (who’d previously caused her within the Geraldine Fibbers) and Bozulich’s single debut with her reverent but wildly idiosyncratic interpretation of Willie Nelson’s traditional recording Red Going Stranger, Bozulich journeyed to Montreal to focus on an recording for Constellation Information, with Shahzad Ismaily assisting to make and arrange the classes and members of the Sterling silver Mt. Zion one of the support music artists. Released in 2006, the completed product was known as Evangelista, and Bozulich released a global tour to get the recording; becoming a member of Bozulich for these displays was bassist Tara Barnes, alongside lots of the performers who caused Bozulich through the documenting periods. Bozulich and Barnes started writing material jointly, so when it emerged time and energy to make her following record, she opted to provide their collaborative function a name of its, Evangelista.
