European Jazz Quartet

Group. Band created in 1977 by tenor saxophonist Alan Skidmore that also included two additional tenor players, Gerd Dudek and Leszek Zadlo, bassist Ali Haurand and drummer Pierre Courbois. It offered its debut overall performance in the Moers Event in Germany that same 12 months, then toured thoroughly through European countries. It produced three albums before disbanding in 1982, and performed a mixture of free of charge and hard bop.
