Biography

Originally a progressive rock group, Europe didn’t become successful until they reworked their sound into bombastic however melodic pop-metal. Within their 1st incarnation, the Swedish music group was called Pressure. The music group — featuring primary users Joey Tempest (vocals), John Norum (acoustic guitar), Tony Reno (drums), and John Leven (bass) — received a national skill contest in the first ’80s, which resulted in a record agreement. After changing their name to European countries and liberating two albums in Sweden (European countries and Wings of Tomorrow), the music group landed a global cope with Epic Information. By this time around, Reno had remaining the group and been changed by Ian Haugland. Keyboardist Mic Michaeli experienced also became a member of the lineup. In 1986, European countries released THE ULTIMATE Countdown. Around the recording, Michaeli’s keyboards have a prominent part (they offer the primary riff within the strike title monitor), which perfectly complemented the band’s smoother pop melodies. The switch in style demonstrated successful, because the record became a high Ten strike within the U.S. and U.K.; both “THE ULTIMATE Countdown” and “Carrie” became TOP singles aswell. Norum remaining the music group by the finish of the entire year and was changed by Kee Marcello. Released in 1988, Out of the World continuing the method of the prior record. It had been also successful, although its figures didn’t match those of THE ULTIMATE Countdown. 3 years later on, European countries released their 5th studio recording, Prisoners in Heaven, which presented the strike title track along with the midtempo ballad “I’ll Cry for you personally,” before phoning it quits the next year. The music group, including Norum, reunited for a fresh Year’s Eve overall performance in Stockholm in 1999, leading to the announcement of the official reunion 3 years later on. The band eventually documented and released their 6th record, Begin from the Dark (2004), after that implemented it with Magic formula Culture (2006) and Last Take a look at Eden (2009), the last mentioned which debuted at number 1 for the Swedish record chart.
