Eugene Friesen

Most widely known for his use The Paul Wintertime Consort, this classically trained cellist was inspired by equivalent parts sacred orchestral music and mid-’60s pop designs. (The innovative usage of the cello with the Beatles in a few of their agreements was a solid influence on youthful Friesen.) His utilize a diverse roster of performers over time has further extended his range. He has documented and performed with everyone from Dave Brubeck and Anthony Davis to Scott Cossu and Steven Halpern.
