Eternal Summers

The Roanoke, Virginia-based Eternal Summers, a self-professed “fantasy punk” outfit, formed in the past due 2000s round the talents of guitarist/vocalist Nicole Yun and drummer Daniel Cundiff, both of whom are members from the Magic Twig Community (an area art and indie pop organization/collective). Focusing on taut, hook-filled post-rock/no wave-inspired pop nuggets that alternative between dreamy and cacophonous, the duo released a self-titled EP in ’09 2009, accompanied by Eternal Summers’ full-length Kanine Information debut, Silver, this year 2010. While touring behind the record, Yun’s acoustic guitar was taken and she discovered that the alternative she had readily available didn’t complete the reduced end of their audio just how they wanted. To treat this, they added a vintage friend, Jonathan Woods, to try out bass. The trio spent fourteen days recording another Eternal Summers recording, shipping the outcomes off to Sune Rose Wagner (from the Raveonettes) and Alonzo Vargas to become mixed. Right Behavior premiered by Kanine in July of 2012. The trio’s following album was documented with creation (and occasional acoustic guitar) from indie rock and roll Zelig Doug Gillard. Released in early 2014, The Drop Beneath designated another impressive part of the band’s creative development. The group’s self-produced 4th album, Platinum and Stone, adopted in 2015.
