Vocalist/songwriter Esme Patterson is a founding person in the top, Denver-based indie folk group Paper Parrot. Developing up in close by Boulder, Colorado, Patterson, along with her sister and bandmate Genevieve Patterson, was raised listening to aged R&B records, arriving at folk and Americana music down the road. In cooperation with another sibling combo, Tag and Sarah Anderson, both Patterson sisters created Paper Parrot in 2006, concentrating on a variety of chamber folk and lush baroque pop. The group continued to release many successful impartial albums, tour regularly, and even rating music for the Ballet Nouveau Colorado dance organization. Although Patterson experienced occasionally performed like a single designer, it wasn’t until 2012 that she experienced accrued several songs she experienced weren’t match for Paper Parrot, and she go about producing her first single recording, All Princes, I. Influenced from the loose fluidity of Vehicle Morrison’s Astral Weeks and Feist’s Metals, the recording noticed her collaborating with fellow Denverites Nathaniel Rateliff and users from the Czars. In 2013, Paper Parrot released their 4th album, Areas, and Patterson also started writing material on her behalf second single album, an idea album called Female to Woman credited in the springtime of 2014.
