Eskaton

The French zeuhl band Eskaton recorded three albums that bear a similarity to Magma, without doubt helped by the actual fact that many of the group’s members were also members of this band. Eskaton was produced in the past due ’70s by Paule Kleynnaert (vocals), Amara Tahir (vocals), Andre Bernardi (bass), Gerard Konig (drums), Alain Blesing (electric guitar), Gilles Rozenberg (body organ, synthesizer), Eric Guillaume (electrical piano), and Marc Rozenberg (electrical piano). Even though band played very similar music compared to that of Magma, with frantic recurring feminine vocals and rumbling bass, they dispensed with this outfit’s made-up vocabulary and rather sung their materials in their indigenous French with timely subject material.
