Ersi Arvizu

Vocalist Ersi Arvizu was raised in East LA in an extremely musical family members, where she grew up on a reliable diet plan of ranchera, mariarchi, spirit, and R&B. Her familial ties brought the youthful artist her initial taste of achievement in 1964 using the one “Gee Baby Gee,” lots three hit on her behalf Latin spirit group, the Sisters, offering siblings Rosella and Mary. Arvizu spent the rest of the 10 years fronting a number of organizations before getting a permanent place in the middle-’70s with Latin rock and roll giants Un Chicano (“Sabor a Mi” and “I’m an excellent Female”). In 2004 she made an appearance on Ry Cooder’s award-winning idea recording Chavez Ravine. Cooder ultimately returned the favour in 2008 by generating Arvizu’s initial solo recording, Friend forever, for the Anti label.
