Ernst Wilhelm Wolf

Through his work and studies, Ernst Wilhelm Wolf saw only a little portion of central Germany, but he obviously gained adequate inspiration in these experiences because he created a body of diverse compositions that included 20 stage works and operas, string quartets, 25 keyboard concertos, oratorios, Easter and dramatic cantatas, and Passions. Beginning at a age, he researched Baroque music, participated in choir, and was a pupil on the Gymnasien at Eisenach and Gotha. Following that, he was informed at the College or university of Jena and afterwards became the movie director from the Collegium Musicum. In 1758, 3 years after his entrance in Jena, he journeyed to Leipzig and to Naumburg, where he proved helpful being a music instructor towards the von Ponickau family members.
