Ernst Ottensamer

Ernst Ottensamer can be an Austrian clarinetist. He went to the School for Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, where he came back in 1986 to instruct, and became teacher there in 2000. In 1979, he started using the Vienna Condition Opera, and became primary clarinetist using the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra in 1983. He offers formed many chamber ensembles, like the Vienna Virtuosos, the Vienna Blowing wind Ensemble, as well as the Vienna Soloists Trio, and a clarinet trio along with his sons, Daniel Ottensamer and Andreas Ottensamer, referred to as the Clarinotts. Ottensamer in addition has collaborated using the Alban Berg Quartet, the Artis Quartet, as well as the Hugo Wolf Quartet, and performed in additional chamber shows with Simon Rattle, André Previn, Daniel Barenboim, Rudolf Buchbinder, and Mischa Maisky. He offers documented many clarinet concertos on Naxos and Decca.
