Electric powered blues guitarist Ernie Lancaster played out about albums by several artists through the entire ’80s and ’90s and released a single album, Ernestly, in 1991. A lot more than anything, Lancaster was maybe most widely known as Root Boy Slim’s guitarist within the Sex Modification Music group. He also performed acoustic guitar for such performers as Ace Moreland, Kenny Neal, Lucky Peterson, Noble W, and Rev. Billy C. Wirtz. His single album, Ernestly, presented the guitarist leading a little music group through ten completely instrumental tracks that he previously written. During the period of the recording, Lancaster veers from instrumental blues-rock to jazz-pop, and soul-jazz.
