Ernie Heckscher

b. 19 July 1916, Britain, d. 16 January 1996, USA. Elevated in SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA, California, USA, Heckscher acquired already embarked on the musical career a long time before participating in Stanford School. Something of a kid prodigy due to his banjo playing, by enough time he was 15 he had been a specialist musician. He afterwards turned to piano, which became his principal device. While at Stanford he come up with his very own dance band, plus they shortly became the prominent musical drive on campus. When university finished he relocated the music group towards the Palace Resort in SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA, and quickly repaid the beliefs of its owners when, with a substantial audience maintained from his university followers, he could draw capability crowds. He toured broadly in the 40s, playing resorts and ballrooms in Memphis, San Antonio and St. Louis, before he was drafted in to the military in 1943. Discharged 2 yrs afterwards, he pieced his music group back jointly and guaranteed a booking on the Blackstone Resort in Chicago for a complete calendar year. When he came back to SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA he found work at the Tag Hopkins Resort. In 1948, he had taken his band towards the Fairmont Resort playing a residency there until his pension in the middle-80s.
