Erdmöbel

Produced in 1995 in Münster and subsequently located in Cologne, the lighthearted German pop/rock and roll group Erdmöbel are made up of Markus Berges (songwriting, vocals, guitar, trumpet), Ekimas (production, guitar, trombone), Chris deWueb (drums), and Jürgen Diehle (bass). Erdmöbel produced their saving debut on NRW Information with Das Ende der Diät (1996), and two even more albums for the label implemented, Erste Worte Nach Poor mit Delfinen (1999) and Erdmöbel Versus Ekimas (2000). The music group then turned to Tapete Information for its following three albums: Altes Gasthaus Like (2003), Fotoalbum (2004), and Für expire Nicht Wissen Wie (2005). In 2006 Erdmöbel agreed upon a major-label documenting cope with Columbia Information, which began using the one-off one “Weihnachten (Last Xmas),” the band’s initial graph hit (amount 84 for the German singles graph). Next for Erdmöbel on Columbia emerged No. 1 Strikes (2007), a German-language addresses album (just as much homage as parody) made up of well-known tracks including Nirvana’s “HAS THE AROMA OF Teen Nature” (performed as “Riecht Wie ein Teenager Nature”) and Kylie Minogue’s “Can’t ENABLE YOU TO GET Away from My Mind” (“Aus Meinem Kopf”); the record proved well-known in Germany and became the band’s first to graph, peaking at amount 24.
