Emmet Cahill

Emmet Cahill can be an Irish tenor and classical and movie theater singer globally renowned among the primary voices of Celtic Thunder. Cahill was raised within a musical home in Mullingar, State Westmeath, in Ireland. At age four, his dad supplied him with music lessons, resulting in a five-year “Schola Cantorum” music scholarship or grant at his regional secondary school. Going through formal classical schooling on the Royal Irish Academy of Music, he was a multiple award winner in a variety of tournaments across Ireland, like the RIAM “Promising Youthful Vocalist of 2010” as well as the “John McCormack Youthful Tenor Award”. Cahill auditioned for and gained an area with Celtic Thunder, changing primary member Paul Byrom. His tone of voice has been highlighted in the albums Heritage, Surprise, Voyage, Voyage II, and Mythology, aswell a set of Xmas albums. In 2013 he was voted Tenor of the entire year with the Irish Music Association in america in identification of his stage shows. The next January, Cahill announced he was departing the group for the solo profession, but came back for an Australian tour in March after vocalist and primary member George Donaldson passed away of the coronary attack. After departing again, he once again rejoined the group in Dec 2015 after Colm Keegan’s departure. In the wintertime of 2017, Emmet Cahill’s Ireland made an appearance beneath the Celtic Thunder banner; in March it came into the Globe Music albums graph at number 1.
