Emma Peel

Acquiring their name in the Avengers heroine, New York’s Emma Peel off had been a trashy punk quintet with a particular twanginess that gained them comparisons towards the Geraldine Fibbers. Guitarist Kurt Wolf was the group’s best-known member, having spent period with noise-rock symbols Pussy Galore and Employer Hog furthermore to using Foetus and briefly signing up for Loudspeaker. Finnish-born guitarist Harri Kupiainen and bassist Lizzie Avondet acquired both experienced Piss Stock, which released one record in 1993. Avondet distributed business lead vocals with Rebecca Gaffney, as well as the lineup was finished with a drummer known merely as Alba. Their just record was 1995’s Play Emma for me personally, released on Sympathy for the Record Sector, which featured many music from a live gig at CBGB’s. The group toured in 1996 and occasionally included former Discomfort Teens vocalist Bliss Bloodstream, who never documented with them due to their imminent break up.
