A member from the popular New Orleans music family members, Emile Christian was being among the most widely traveled, celebrated early jazz players. He used his brothers Charles and Frank in organizations led by Papa Jack port and Alfred Laine, and in Fischer’s Brass Music group, on the other hand with Frank Christian. Then caused Merritt Brunies in 1916 in both New Orleans and Chicago, after that used Bert Kelly in 1917 before rejoining Brunies. This group was right now called the initial New Orleans Jazz Music group. Christian remained with them until 1918, after that changed Eddie Edwards in the initial Dixieland Jazz Band, using them in London in 1919 and 1920. After a go back to NY and short period with the initial Memphis Five in 1921, Christian returned to London and became a member of the Broadway Sextet. He performed bass and trombone in Germany, France, and Switzerland from 1924 in to the ’30s. Christian performed in Bombay with Leon Abbey in 1936, after that performed in France and Denmark prior to making his in the past to NY in 1939. He finally came back to New Orleans by 1941 and performed there before late ’60s.
