Drummer and pianist Emanuele Maniscalco can be an adventurous musician having a bent toward exploratory contemporary creative jazz and rock and roll. Given birth to in Brescia, Italy in 1984, Maniscalco 1st used the piano before switching to drums around age group 12. Though mainly self-taught, by his twenties Maniscalco was carrying out with such Italian jazz luminaries as Enrico Rava and Stefano Battaglia. In 2013, Maniscalco made an appearance with the 3rd Reel trio on the self-titled ECM debut.
