Biography
Gritty emo-rockers Emanuel shaped in 1998 amid much indie rock scene within their hometown of Louisville, KY. In the beginning coming together during junior high, the group — Matt Breen (vocals/acoustic guitar), Bryan Whiteman (bass), Matthew Barber (acoustic guitar), and Anthony Brock (drums) — drew impact from bands just like the Beatles and Led Zeppelin to Smashing Pumpkins and Nirvana. Attempting to develop their audio throughout their teenagers, the group acquired taken on the decidedly harder and screamo-tinged advantage upon graduation from senior high school. Purchasing demos around to several brands — and shortening their name to merely Emanuel off their primary moniker Emanuel Fine — the group agreed upon with Vagrant Information in past due 2004. Their full-length Soundtrack to some Headrush was released in March 2005. By the finish of the entire year, Breen centered on vocals because the music group became a five-piece by adding second guitarist Devin Tripplet. On the following calendar year, two of their music were found in video gaming: “Search and Destroy” was certified to Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland, and “Viscera” premiered in the ATV Offroad Fury 4 soundtrack. In 2007, the group released their sophomore record, Black Globe Tiger.
