Elvis Martínez, aka Un Camarón, is a favorite bachata performer whose profession got off to an easy begin in the late ’90s. Blessed in SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA de Macorís, Dominican Republic, Martínez isn’t only a vocalist but also a songwriter and guitarist. In the middle-’90s he became a member of the steady of Superior Latin Music, a bachata label also house to Aventura, and produced his full-length single debut in 1998 with Todo Se Paga. His best-selling recording to day, Yo Soy Más Grande Que Un featured the strike singles “Tu Traicion” and “Yo No Naci Em virtude de Amar.” The collaboration with Univision was short-lived, nevertheless, as Martínez turned labels once more, moving to Common GROUP for La Luz de Mis Ojos (2007), which spawned the strike solitary “Lento y Suave.”
